Where Daylite wins
- iPhone and iPad apps with offline sync. Life Manager Pro is Mac-only with no mobile app and none planned — if you need your pipeline in your pocket at a client site, that decides it.
- Apple Mail integration is genuinely excellent and has no equivalent here. Turning an email into an opportunity, task, or appointment without leaving your inbox is the feature Daylite users cite most, and Life Manager Pro has no email integration at all.
- Real team features — shared calendars, delegation, team pipelines. If you ever hire, Daylite grows with you and Life Manager Pro does not.
- Roughly two decades of continuous development against a 1.0 release. That's a real difference in edge cases handled, bugs found, and confidence that it'll still be here in five years.
- Automatic linking of emails, meetings, and notes to the right client and opportunity, building a complete searchable history without manual filing.

- Meeting recording and on-device transcription built in. Daylite has no equivalent — you'd pair it with a separate notetaker, at another subscription, and still file the follow-ups by hand.
- Action items from a meeting become tasks attached to the contact you promised them to, without you typing anything. That's the step where solo CRMs usually die.
- Goals, OKRs, habits, and a journal in the same app. Daylite is a CRM with projects; it doesn't attempt the personal side.
- Your data is a SQLite file on your own disk with no account to create. Daylite syncs through its servers, which is what makes its mobile apps and team features possible — a fair trade, but a different one.

Should you actually switch?
Is Life Manager Pro a full replacement for Daylite?
For a solo consultant who doesn't need mobile or Apple Mail integration, largely yes — contacts, companies, pipeline, projects, and tasks are all there. If you rely on the iPhone app or on turning emails into opportunities from your inbox, no. Those are Daylite's two strongest features and we don't have either.
Can I import my Daylite data?
Not directly today. Daylite can export contacts and opportunities, and you can bring those in manually, but there's no Daylite importer. If that matters to you, email [email protected] — it helps us prioritize.
Why is Daylite so much more expensive?
Because it does more, and some of it costs money every month. Mobile apps, cloud sync, and team collaboration all require servers that someone has to pay for. Life Manager Pro is cheaper partly because it's simpler and partly because local-first software has no ongoing hosting cost to recover.
I'm a one-person business today but might hire. Which should I pick?
Daylite. It's built to grow into a team and Life Manager Pro is deliberately single-user with no path to multi-user. Picking us and hiring in a year means migrating; that's a real cost worth avoiding if you can already see it coming.
