Privacy Policy

The short version

Life Manager Pro is a local-first Mac app. Your data lives on your Mac, in a SQLite database under your user account. We don't host it. We don't see it. We don't sell it. There is no telemetry by default.

What we collect

License validation

When you activate a license, the app sends your license code, device identifier (a hash derived from the macOS hardware UUID), device name, and app version to our licensing server (licensing.laymance.com). This is necessary to verify your purchase and enforce per-device limits. No other data is sent during validation.

Trial signup

If you sign up for a free trial, we collect the email address you provide, optionally your first name and what brought you to the app, and your IP address (used only for rate-limiting and abuse prevention). We keep this on the licensing server for the lifetime of the trial and any purchase that follows.

Optional AI features

If you opt in to AI-powered meeting analysis, the app sends transcripts to Anthropic Claude or OpenAI using your API key, configured by you in settings. We never see this traffic. It goes directly from your Mac to the AI provider you chose. If you don't enable AI analysis, no transcript or audio leaves your device.

What we don't collect

• Your tasks, notes, journal entries, contacts, deals, or projects
• Your meeting audio or transcripts
• Your calendar events (synced via macOS EventKit, not us)
• Crash reports unless you explicitly send one
• Usage analytics, click tracking, or feature telemetry

Cookies & website analytics

Our marketing site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies and does not track individual visitors. The site does not set any tracking cookies.

Your rights

You can request export or deletion of any data we hold about you (your email, license records, trial history) by emailing [email protected]. We respond within 7 days.
